How does helping others help us all?
In this unit students will read four different selections about how helping others helps us all. These readings include a novel excerpt, a diary excerpt, and two informational articles.
They’ll read about an Apache boy who receives help from a farm family and biographies about people who devoted their lives to helping others.
They’ll read a girl’s diary entries that ask for peace in her war-torn country, and they´ll read about a baby hippo that receives help from an unlikely fellow creature.
